Careers and Opportunities

Geographers study how people interact with both physical and human environments. They identify and analyze the global patterns that shape our lives.

Geographers enjoy a number of career options in high demand fields such as geographic information systems (GIS), remote sensing, urban and regional planning, housing and community development, retail site location, computer mapping, environmental analysis or resource management, tourism or planning, climatology and resource conservation.
